「櫻」姿煥發　魚池櫻花王怒放

南投縣魚池鄉前鄉長廖學輝任內積極打造「櫻花鄉」，1棵樹齡逾60年的台灣山櫻，封為「魚池櫻花王」，目前開得正燦爛，遊客佇足賞「櫻」姿。

魚池鄉10年前在全鄉廣植山櫻超過10萬棵，在大林村古剎金天堂有1棵台灣山櫻樹齡超過60年；目前全鄉公路行道樹、日月潭及九族文化村及聚落民宅庭院，處處見緋紅櫻花逐漸盛開。

「櫻花王」更是開得燦爛，熱鬧繁花襯托佛寺的清靜，散發超凡脫俗美感，遊客大讚「這裡賞櫻最特別」。
